EQT Rec Center holds Turkey Bowl Classic

The EQT Rec Center will hold their second annual Turkey Bowl Classic on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25. Children grades 6-7 and 8-9 play Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. Children grades 2-3 and 4-5 play Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. Registration for teams closed Nov. 11.

Greene County Historical Society holds Open House

The Greene County Historical Society Museum will open its doors this weekend for a Christmas Open House. The Open House will be held on two separate weekends: Nov. 26- Nov. 27 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 3- Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The museum will be decorated for Christmas and guests can walk through the different rooms to experience fashions from past years. Santa Claus will make an appearance as well.

Small Business Saturday to take place

Some shops in the borough of Waynesburg will participate in Small Business Saturday. This shopping day is held the Saturday after Black Friday. This year it will take place on Nov. 26. According to the Greene County Prosperous and Beautiful website, Greene County has over 167 businesses that employ more than 600 individuals.
