Waynesburg University On Dec. 2, Waynesburg University students woke up to the first accumulation of snow this school year.
An alert was sent out to students at 6:11 a.m. through the Everbridge Broadcast system that read, “Due to poor weather conditions, Waynesburg University’s morning classes will be conducted only remotely or online.”
Unlike bigger universities, students at Waynesburg don’t go through a lot of snow struggles, since the campus is much more walkable. In fact, the snow only caused cancellations to classes that started earlier than 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
John Stewart, a senior, weighed in on the aesthetic that the snow brings to the campus.
“It’s honestly a nice-looking campus with snow,” Stewart said.
Junior Steve Trettel seemed to enjoy the snowfall as well.
“Other than maybe slipping, I honestly kind of like the snow” Trettel said.
Overall, the first snow fall of the year didn’t really affect the happenings on the campus of Waynesburg University, other than classes before 11 a.m. getting moved to online only and the snow making it much harder for commuters to get to campus.
The snow has started to melt, but a lot of it still remains from this past Tuesday.
