On Tuesday, April 5, Dr. Cornelius Coleman will host his fourth and final section of his leadership series “Success in a Nutshell.” The series is for all Waynesburg University students and is targeted to help students realize that there are resources for them to utilize on campus.
Dr. Coleman’s talk on Tuesday is going to be focused on adjusting from high school to college, being able to adapt to a new environment and understanding the meaning of persistence.
“I believe this is going to help both first year and upperclassmen students, with adapting to the college as well as understanding persistence throughout college and life,” Coleman said.
Students have already found these talks very helpful. Junior accounting major Alex Torrance has attended all three sections so far and plans on attending this last one as well.
“If he is willing to stay late at night, take time out of his days and share his experiences with us, I am more than happy to be there to listen and learn,” Torrance said.
Many students have already taken away valuable lessons from the series and have been motivated to apply these lessons to their personal lives.
“The second meeting really stuck with me because of how passionate he was for us following our own dreams,” Torrance said. “He told us his story about how he got to where he is now, and I hope I can have the same dedication to my dreams that he had for his own.”
The last section of the series will be taking place in Stewart room 201 at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
“Every meeting he’s shared a different life story with us and I’m excited for what we can learn from this next one,” Torrance said.
