It was about a little past noon, and I was getting prepared to go watch “Deadpool and Wolverine” for the second time, but this time I was going with my family. I then was scrolling through X to then find out that Robery Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom. That is when I realized the downfall of Marvel might be upon us.
I am a huge fan of Marvel and have always seen the new movies right when they come out, and I truly think that since “Avengers Endgame” it has not been the same.
“The fourth film in the Avengers saga, ‘Avengers Endgame’, brought about the end of an era for the Infinity Saga, ending the long-running Thanos arc,” said imdb.com in an article titled, “Original Avenger making a Marvel comeback for potential goodbye project” written on Sept. 18, 2024, by Michael Patterson. “Gifting fans with one of the greatest cinematic battles of all time.”
After this film, and the death of Tony Stark, movies just have not been as good, and now with the “Thunderbolts*” trailer, it does not look bad and could bring a spark to the next phase of Marvel movies.
I do think the spark of Marvel might have started after watching “Deadpool and Wolverine” as it broke box office numbers when it was first released according to the-numbers.com and the websites information on the film.
“Thunderbolts*” is an intriguing movie as it relates to these characters we have not seen much action from and are now all grouping up together to fight crime.
I think after phase five of the Marvel movies finish, and phase six comes up, that is when Marvel will really be back and everyone will be craving movies to come out like before.
Along with “Deadpool and Wolverine” setting records, “Agatha All Along” was released on Sept. 18.
“‘Agatha All Along’ peels back those layers even further, following Agatha as she breaks out of Westview and sets out on a dangerous new quest, accompanied by a mysterious goth teenager,” said marvel.com in an article titled, “Joe Locke Teases Mischief and Magic in ‘Agatha All Along’” which was published on Sept. 17, 2204 and written by Devan Coggan. “It follows Agatha down the Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet designed to test a witch’s power.”
This is not a movie but it is a series on Disney Plus. As of right now, I am not a huge fan of the series but I am still keeping an open mind while watching it.
I believe that Marvel has struggled a little since the Thanos era, but I do believe that they will make a comeback eventually, as we saw with the “Deadpool and Wolverine” movie and maybe the “Thunderbolts” movie.
“Thunderbolts” plans on being released on May 2, 2025.
