New floors to Ebery Library. What are they for?

The Eberly Library at Waynesburg University is a key for students’ studies and a place for people to focus on work. If they need a tutor they can get one, and if they need help with writing they can get it.

The first floor of the Eberly Library consists of theTutoring Center , the tutoring center and study tables to be able to study in groups. The Tutoring Center is for people that need help with testing and studying. The tutoring center is located in the back of the first floor in the room on the left where you can meet with a tutor to where they will help guide you in the right direction of studying, homework, going over previous tests, etc.

“We think it is best to have a floor where people can meet in groups to study,” Director of the Eberly Library Rea Redd said. “I think having one floor designated to that is good for other students trying to work on their own so they can focus on their work in their own area.”

The second floor of the library is more for people who want to study on their own or with a person one on one, to where they can be quiet enough for it.

“The second floor of the library in my opinion is more for one on one work or just self work in itself,” Redd said. “I think when people come to the second floor they are looking for privacy and to focus on their own work.”

Lastly, the very top floor of the Eberly Library is the third floor. Where you can find the new skylight room which is used as an art gallery, and the writing center. There is also the writing center, where students can schedule a visit and go meet with someone whether it’s to brainstorm a story, help edit a writing, or help even format it. There are plenty of things the writing center can offer.

“I love the writing center whether it’s for an English class or just any writing in general and I really think students should consider going,” student Leah Campbell said. “I have been there a few times throughout my year and a half of being here and I think it has really helped me improve as a writer.”
