A guide to the weekend, Sept. 27-29

Greene County has a plethora of events for anyone during the summer and fall. With many county exclusive traditions and celebrations, students should take the time to experience the culture around Waynesburg University during their downtime on the weekends. Here is a guide to three such events happening this weekend.

 

  1. 2019 Rocky Mountain ATVMC Mason-Dixon GNCC

 

At the Mathews Farm in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, the Rocky Mountain ATVMC is preparing for round 7 of 8 of the 2019 Mason-Dixon GNCC for the Specialized Bicycles eMTB Race Series. Weekend passes are $20 for adults,  $10 for kids and free for kids ages five and under. There is no extra charge for camping. The gates open Friday at 9 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. Learn more about here.

 

  1. Pizza, Pie, & Bingo

 

Within two miles of Waynesburg University, Eva K. Bowlby Library is hosting bingo with pizza and pie for all ages Friday, Sept. 27, from 6-9 p.m. Prizes will be given out to bingo winners. Entry is free with donations accepted. To register, click here.

 

  1. Lippencott Alpacas Open House

 

Outside the town of Waynesburg, Lippencott Alpacas will be hosting an open house Sept. 28-29 starting from 1-5 p.m. both days. Attend to witness craft and fiber demonstrations and close interactions with alpacas. Admission and parking are free. Learn more about the farm here and about the open house here.
