Guide to the weekend, Feb. 21-23

Tired of the school work and teachers? Greene County offers a variety of events each week. No group of weekend events look similar.  To aid in finding a good event to relax with, here is a guide to three events happening this weekend. 

 

1. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

If you like spaghetti, head over to St. Anne’s Catholic Church for Boy Scout Troop 1280 and 9280’s fundraiser dinner. The meal is Feb. 21 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $7, and children ages 12 and under tickets are $4. Take out is available. For more information, click here

 

2. WVU Block and Bridle 2020 Bonanza 

To watch local show animals, travel to the Greene County Fairgrounds Feb. 22 and 23 to watch the 3rd annual animal prize show. The event is hosted by the West Virginia University Block and Bridle Club. Each day, the event starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Click here to learn more.

 

3. CPR/AED Training

Eva K. Bowlby Library is hosting certification and recertification training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automatic external defibrillator. For ages 10 and older, entry costs $89. The training starts at 10:30 p.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m Feb. 22. Certification lasts for two years. To reserve a spot and learn more, click here
