Waynesburg University to hold Fall Information Sessions

Waynesburg University will be holding its fall information sessions this Saturday, Sept. 21.  These are two-hour sessions for prospective students and their families.

“These events are beneficial for families who cannot come down to campus during the weekdays,” said Isaiah Skeete, associate director of admissions.

The sessions provide opportunities for prospective students to introduce themselves to the campus and more.

“During these events, prospective students and their families will hear from an admissions counselor about the admissions/financial aid process and take a tour with one of our student ambassadors,” Skeete said.

There will be another session held on Dec. 14. Along with the additional session in December, there will be open houses as well as overnight visitations in this fall semester.

In addition to the prospective student sessions, the University will also be holding Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Arts in Criminal Investigation (MACI) information sessions this fall.

“The purpose for the MBA and MACI informational sessions are to share with current students the opportunity they have of taking graduate level courses during their senior year,” said Blair Howarth, assistant director of admissions. “As long as the students have credit room, no more than 15 credits each term but must be full-time students, they can take one course during the fall and spring semesters.”

These sessions provide students with information that will benefit them in their career at Waynesburg.

“The largest benefit to this opportunity is that students can take these graduate level classes within their current undergraduate tuition for their senior year,” Howarth said.

The MACI session will be on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. in the CSI House and the MBA session on Oct. 7 at 12:30 p.m. on the second floor of Hanna Hall.

“All students are welcomed to each event they are interested in,” Howarth said. Any student interested can contact Howarth at 724-743-2251 or at blair.howarth@waynesburg.edu to reserve their spot.
