Guide to the weekend, Nov. 1-3

Even though temperatures are dropping does not mean events are dropping also. Greene County always has something going on, and here are such three events happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

1. Drop of History Lecture – Jarrod Burks

The Greene County Historical Society is hosting its lecture series Friday night. Listen to archaeologist Dr. Jarrod Burk talk about the Adena and Hopewell Earthworks in the Ohio Valley from 7-9 p.m. Anyone is invited, and admission is free with donations accepted. For more information, click here.

2. Social Service League Holiday Extravaganza

Local artisans are setting up shop at Waynesburg Central School District Saturday, Nov. 2. The nonprofit Social Service League is charging $2 entry for their 9 a.m. to 3 p.m event. Free on-site parking and a children’s activity room will be available. Click here to learn more.

3. 2019 Annual Buddy Race

The New East Coast XC Race Series is inviting racers of any age to come to this fun-focused race. Saturday will contain child and adult and child races, and Sunday host adult-only races.
