PSA from Dr. Robert Randolph

Hello Everyone,

I invite you to this year’s b.f. maiz Center Speakers Series reading.

This year’s b.f. maiz Center Speaker is Zac Yonko, a 2018 graduate of Waynesburg University.  Since graduation, Zac has served as lead pastor of Vinco Brethren Church in Mineral Point, PA., and is currently completing Master of Divinity degree at Ashland Theological Seminary with a focus on Hebrew language studies and Old Testament texts.  He is a widely published poet and serves as the denominational poet for The Brethren Church’s Quarterly News Magazine.  In addition, he is a film critic, partnering with PixelSceneMedia.    Sharing in Zac’s life and work is Tessa, his wife, a 2019 graduate of WU.  They are pretty clearly carrying the WU Mission forward.

I have facilitated the maiz Center Speakers Series from its beginnings and this is likely my last year, so I would like to share with you as well a brief statement about the poet b.f. maiz, and the maiz Center speakers we have been fortunate enough to visit our campus.  WU can be proud of this Center and its work so far.

Please come: Monday, February 24th, 7:00 p.m., Alumni Hall.

Bob Randolph
