Jesse Orbin continued a dominant showing for Waynesburg wrestling with his second Presidents’ Athletic Conference wrestling championship.
Orbin won the championship at 174lbs this past Saturday.
Orbin believes this is not the end to his big season and that he still has a lot left to accomplish.
“Obviously there is always room to improve but we’re coming for the regional title for sure,” Orbin said. “I got some revenge to get over the number one seed and then nationals come,” Orbin said
Patnesky believes that the team cannot rely on Orbin alone.
“Jesse [Orbin] had a great tournament, but he needs the other eleven guys to be there with him,” Patnesky said
Patnesky discussed the type of kid Orbin is, and he sees the talent Orbin has.
“He’s a special kid and he has the talent to evolve,” Patnesky said
Orbin being on this roster has made Patnesky realize the importance of having someone like Orbin, but he recognizes the value of the rest of the team.
“Jesse is the face of the program right now, but I’m so proud of these kids for what they did today,” Patnesky said
Waynesburg wrestling will have their last match of the season as they head to Ohio Northern University on Feb. 28 in Ada, Ohio.
