Waynesburg Athletics Waynesburg’s first match after spring break was a success, defeating Pitt-Greensburg over the weekend 7-0.
Things got kicked off in doubles, where Waynesburg’s only loss of the day was suffered, as sophomore Ethan Clawson and junior Tyler Gordon were taken down 6-1 in the first doubles.
From there, Waynesburg heated up, with a tight 7-5 victory in second doubles and a 6-0 win in third doubles.

“The guys really put it together in their singles matches,” Pettit said.
Clawson won his first singles match of the season from the top position, but it was sophomore Noah Biser who had the most impressive performance, getting two 6-0 sweeps over Ryan Cole in 2nd singles.
