SAB’s first movie night of the year was on another level

Johnson Commons had over 40 students in attendance for the  first outdoor movie night on Friday, Sept. 3. The movie that was showing was “Jumanji: The Next Level.”

Graduate Assistant for Student Activities, Megan McElligott said, “This is one of our better events.”

The movie that features stars such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Danny DeVito was received well by the students in attendance.

Junior student Emma Daugherty said, “It was really, really good. It was better than I expected.”

Relaxing and enjoying the movie was not the only attraction. Free popcorn, candy, water and soda were all offered to those in attendance.

Daugherty said, “I’ve never been to [an outdoor movie night] before, so it was a whole new experience, but it was a lot of fun.”

Junior student Aleksa Malys said she “one hundred percent” would consider coming out to future outdoor movie nights based on her experience.

“I definitely would bring another blanket,” Malys said.

For students who were not able to be in attendance but would like to join the fun, no worries.

McElligott’s response to if the event will happen again was, “Oh yeah.”
