As for Monday, Sept. 25, the Yellow Jackets hosted Conference opponent Saint Vincent College for their fourth and final game of the five day stretch.

The Yellow Jackets competed well but in the end, the Bearcats won 9-0.

After the match, Head Coach Randy Petit stated that he was pleased to see, “Tight doubles matches.’’ Petit also stated he was pleased with the team because, “They could have not showed up at all,” if they really wanted to.

Petit stated, “We will work on what the team suggested during the match,” before their next match so that they do not cool down before then.

The Yellow Jackets are more than half way through the season at this point and Petit stated, “Consistent play with all of them,” has been the biggest improvement at this point in the season. He also stated, “The team is young and the first matches shocked them at the start of the season.”

Waynesburg’s next match will be on the road against conference opponent, Franciscan University on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m.
