“Today my mindset was just trying to see the ball and not try to think too much in the box,” Comer said.

Westminster would tie it in the sixth making the score 5-5 but Waynesburg handled it from there scoring two in the seventh off of an error and adding another in the eighth from a Comer RBI single.

The Jackets would take game one 8-5. Game two the Jackets would put trust in freshman Ryan Opfer who would win and complete his third collegiate game.

“I am just happy we got the win and proud of being able to contribute to it,”

Opfer said.

The Jackets started with a two run deficit but eliminated it in the second inning with a SAC fly from Ours, a fielder’s choice and an RBI single by Hamilton to make it a 3-2 game.

The Jackets did not quit there, adding three more in the third off of a walk- in run with bases loaded then a two run double by Ours to increase the lead 6-3.
