Kwabiah is the first player in men’s soccer history to win the PAC Newcomer award. Kwabiah finished the season with eight goals, five assists and 21 points, leading the Jackets in all those categories.
“I am really proud of what I am able to accomplish as a freshman this year and getting PAC Newcomer of the Year,” Kwabiah said on the accomplishment. “The numbers speak for themselves.”
Kwabiah also tallied four game winning goals and had four games with multiple assists and goals.
Massotti finished with an All-PAC second team award after setting multiple Waynesburg University records this season.
Massotti set a school record with three assists in a single game against Carlow where the Jackets would win the game 8-0. Messotti is also the first player to have multiple matches with more than one assist.
“Trying to be more of an example this year really pushed me,” Massotti said of the motivation he had. “To be unselfish and try to get others involved and be a creator for the team.”
Finally, Lewis finished the season with an All-PAC honorable mention. He ended the season leading the team in minutes with 1,363. His defense also helped the team gather three shutouts against PAC opponents. He also had a goal against Westmnister and Carlow.
“Our staff is extremely proud of the way this team continued to fight all year,” said head coach Treg Lunger on the team’s efforts and accomplishments. “They sent some very lofty goals, and while we didn’t accomplish all of them, we continued to improve the narrative that ‘WUFooty’ can be a winning team on this campus.”
