Apple Music or Spotify?

When I went home to see some friends a week ago, we were talking about music and artists.  Eventually after long discussions, we reached a topic about how Apple Music is the greatest invention ever. At that moment, I had to pick a fight because  I strongly disagreed.

I truly believe that Spotifty is the superior music app. If we are being realistic, the top two music platforms are Spotifty and Apple Music. However, the key to Spotify being superior  is the cost.

“Spotify is a digital music, podcast, and video service that gives you access to millions of songs and other content from creators all over the world,” Spotify’s website reads.  “Basic functions such as playing music are totally free.”

My biggest argument against Apple Music is that after three months, you have to pay for basic functions, while Spotify is free. .

If you are a student, Apple Music costs $5.99 a month . If you are not a student, it costs $11.99.

However, if you  wanted to listen to adless music on Spotify, it would cost you $11.99.

Also, if you have the free version you can only skip so many times on Spotify, while Apple Music has unlimited skips.

While Spotify has ads, , it is possible to get rid of the ad by simply swiping out of the app and reopening it. .

Yes,  new music typically comes out on  Apple Music first. But, if you want to listen to the new music without paying for Apple, you can  go to Youtube and  find it.

“Access exclusive interviews and live concerts with Apple Music,” Apple’s website reads. . “Listen across all your devices, online or offline with next-level sound quality.”

Apple music may have some extra features since they have that “Apple” title. If you just want to listen to music and do not want to pay for anything, Spotify is the way to go.

You can listen to podcasts, create your own playlists and listen to music on both platforms.

I truly believe that the only downfall to Spotify is that it has ads.

If you are a music person like myself and are not interested  in paying money to listen to it, Spotify is the way to go.
