SAB hosts outdoor bingo

This past Wednesday, Waynesburg University’s Student Activities Board (SAB) hosted bingo, a favorite activity among Waynesburg students, but this one had a twist compared to past bingo events.

The rounds were hosted outside in Johnsons Commons at 4 p.m. right as the trees provided some shade for the players.

“It was a little toasty,” freshman Cole Silaggei said. “But it was still a really fun experience to be outside and play some bingo with my friends.”

Contestants had the chance to play for a variety of prizes, all provided by SAB, including some cold hard cash.

“Our top prize was $100,” SAB representative Ashley D’Allesandro said. “Blankets, pillows, Waynesburg merch, Starbucks coupons, and fidgets because those are pretty popular now.”

Playing bingo outside is something that went over well with the students and is something that SAB looks to continue to do in the future.

“When the weather is nice, we are definitely going to try to get outside more,” D’Allesandro said.

To stay up to date on more events held by SAB, including bingo dates, students are encouraged to check their myConnect pages or reference the Toilet Paper flyers hung around campus.
