Thanksgiving break is almost here, but the school work is not stopping. To take a break and regain the energy to finish those projects and tests, here is a guide to three events happening this weekend.
1. 5k Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble
For the third time, the Eva K. Bowlby Library is hosting its annual run or walk fundraiser Nov. 23. The race will start and end at the library, beginning at 9 a.m. There will also be a 50/50 Chinese auction. Participants’ admission is $25. Children 12-years-old and under can enter for $15. 2. Greene County Christmas Craft Fair
The 3rd annual Christmas craft fair, organized by Becky Scandale Walawander and Tara Galbraith, is Nov. 23. Attend for homemade food and purchasing items through a Chinese auction. All proceeds will be given to the Greene County Humane Society. Learn more by clicking here.
3. Open Skate
Mon View Roller Rink is hosting its weekly Open Skate Saturday, Nov. 22. Pay $5 to skate from 8-11 p.m. There will be no open skate next Saturday due to maintenance. To learn more, call the Greene County Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323.
